Sleepy Hollow Cemetery – Concord, Massachusetts – What other cemetery can you find at least four very famous authors? Alcott, Emerson, Hawthorne and Thoreau all are interred at Sleepy Hollow in an area known as “Authors Ridge”. That is just the beginning. Add in Revolutionary and Civil War Heroes not to mention notable citizens from bakers to lawyers to ministers and you have a town with a robust history worth exploring.

There is a lot more history to Sleepy Hollow Cemetery. The above is just a few pictures of some of the famous laid to rest. There are many others including the Alcott and Hawthorne families as well as George Gray a famous Civil War veteran who passed away around 1900. We did not want to ruin “The Concord Experience”.
